  i personally do not agree with grace kim. i have been here 13 years and everytime someone leaves (which is rare) its not always about dating...whenever leaders interfere, its just cause they care and they want you to lead a more christ centered life instead of your life revolving around very unsatisfying materialistic things like romance, academic achievment, looks, success etc. letting people know where you live is part of gracepoint berkeley's motto "an acts 2 church in every college town" which, if you read the book acts, chapter 2, explains all about being as one, and fellowship in homes, preaching the gospel, and being unified as one body of christ. gracepoint berkeley church really helped me grow in my christian faith and life and all of my questions have been answered by my wise leaders.

  This place has many cult like behaviors. Can't really list them all here. Please do yourself a favor and Google search for "truth about gracepoint" or look at their yelp reviews. I watched a bit about how Scientology controls it's members and chilling how similar they are. I'm not saying they're Scientology but the similarities are chilling.

  I am a sophomore at UC Berkeley, studying electrical engineering and computer science. Because of Gracepoint, I came to know the Lord and the weight of His gospel last year. God is clearly working in this gospel-centered church. If you simply want a better understanding of the gospel, this is the place for you. I had no idea who God was, but Gracepoint had tons of optional resources for learning and guidance.
  It is clear that the Acts 2 community at GP attracts many people, but is also alarming for some. As a Christian, I understand that living out the Word of God is tough and it entails receiving judgment from both Christians and non-Christians. "If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you" (John 15:18 ESV). If the Bible is not worth living out, then what is? At Gracepoint, there is no condemnation, because in Christ, there is no condemnation. All peoples are welcome to see what Gracepoint has to offer, but no one is welcome to judge people that he/she does not know.
  
  “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
  
  This year, dozens of people gave their lives to Christ right here in front of my eyes. The sight of seeing the lost come to Christ triumphs over any aesthetic lifestyle differences we may have. I encourage you to experience this yourself no matter where you go--our church, your church, in your home or in your workplace.

  Amazing!!! Would live this semester over and over again if I could! Been a Christian all my life, haven't seen Biblical lives,community, love and church lived out this sincerely and beautifully!

  I've been coming to this church for more than 11 years now, and I have found God and became a Christian here.
  This is a community where the Word of God was lived out and active, a church of people who take their faith very seriously.and put the honor of God above all else.
  This is a church for immense growth and maturity, where genuine relationships and love are so evident that is impossible not to see it.
